Volume generic model family

Hello, 

I made a generic model family and when i load the family in the project, the family automatically shows the volume in the properties. 

Is there a way to turn off this automatically displayed volume? 

I only want to show a specific calculated volume from the family.

The "Volume" information is a Built-in paramter and Built-in parameters in Revit are default parameters that are hard-coded into the software and cannot be modified, they are read only.

Yes you can change the Generic model to Site and no need to see the true Volume:
