Hi guys,
I have a roof with multiple layers, where the material on the top layer has a pattern and color. The roof is in the phase existing.
I placed a door or window family on the roof with a sweep-void as cut and a generic model in place void. When I change the phase of the cut and door/window into New Phase and go into the existing phase the windows and doors disappear, as they should, and the cuts disappear , as they should , but it still cuts through the pattern of my last roof-layer.
When the cut is a simple opening that is made with the "opening" section in the "architecture" tab it works fine. When the opening is not a rectangle form, and made with a gen model , sweep or something, it cuts the pattern even in other phases. Do you have any ideas how to fix this ?
(Couldn't copy-paste images so they are in the attachment)
Working in Revit 2020 20.0.0.377
It is not the same family but the problem can be a similar one. That would explain why the normal cut does work (that only cuts the wall/roof) and the generic one doesnt (cuts the form you give it). I will remodel the cut and see if it helps.
Ill let you know and accept as solution if it does. Thanx!
