(The goal is to remove gyp behind a tub shower surround. I know I can manipulate the walls, but I need to exhaust this method first)
I have a void surrounding a tub, the host wall in the family is cut, and the plan east wall is cut in the model is well, along with the host wall in the model, but the plan north wall does not recognize the void surrounding the tub. (See image)
I have tried: Manually cutting the walls in model. Adding a nested void family. Shared and unshared that separate void family. Changing the shape of the void.
It looks like it's all just because that plane of the void isn't connected to the plane of the void that is touching the host wall in the family, so its ignored. It would really suck if this were just a Revit limitation.

I'm not readily seeing any issues, but I am wondering what the purpose of this Region is all about though. It's affecting the Plan View in Project. Not in a good way.
I would get rid of it or check Draw In Foreground to host it to the Ref. Level.
But regarding other issues, I'm not finding any.
That mask was for covering gyp in plan potentially, it needs some work if I go that route, but it can be ignored or deleted. But you were able to have the void cut the wall on all three sides of the tub? Or you're saying you're not finding any solution? Ive updated the image to show a bit better whats happening.
Make the void unhosted, meaning do not cut the host wall in the family with the void. Set the family to Cut with void when loaded, load it in the prokect and use cut geometry to cut all surrounding walls.
