Hi all!
When trying to generate a void in the border of a slab, I would like to do it directly without doing one of the next things:
1- Instead of the floor, generate an in situ modeled component. If I do this, I've to be very careful when I create schedules selecting not only by family and type of the typical floor, I'll have to select the in place model too.
2- Create a floor with different thickness and bottom offset to make this part.
Does there is any way to generate this void keeping the floor element without adding modeled in place/suplementary parts?
Thank you!

Hi!! Thanks for the fast answer!! You mean to do this??
My objetive is to keep only one instance for all the floor of the level.
Thanks!!
you could create a family that is made of a void.

What's the step down for? Is it a brick ledge? Keep in mind that Join Geometry removes geometry as well.
...just to be clear, the step in floor is created by joining the Wall and the Floor in the correct order.
