Heey,
I made a in-place model of a building from a pointcloud.
the walls aren't straight nor is the thicknes the same.
after making a curved void extrusion thru the wall. the edges aren't smooth.
At first i thought it was a graphic problem and just kept drawing.
Now the model is done, and i can't get rid of the unsmooth curves.
anyone any ideas?
I'm not understanding your workflow. Why in-place components as walls instead of just modeling walls using the wall tool. Are you trying to trace over the point cloud's walls? What plane are you drawing on? What direction are you extruding?
i'm using in-place walls because it's a old building. the same wall changes in thicknes en isn't straight. modeling a wall with the wall tool wouldn't be accurate enough.
i'm indeed tracing over the pointcloud walls en drawing on level plane's. the extrusion forms that i cut out of the walls i draw on the plane of the wall itself.
The extrusion of the wall goes up (Z) en the extrusion of the void goes back(X or Y). (dutch system)
(it's my first time modeling from a pointcloud so my workflow may not be the best.)
i'm trying to bring the model closer. But i can't figure out how to do is. moving it or copying it doesn't work because of constricted directions of object.
any idea how to fix it? of where i can find the way to do it?
bringing the model closer to internal origin point doesn't work. the curves stay unsmooth

I'll tell you what; post your RVT and we'll take a quick look and see. Maybe it's fine for us. In that case, it may be hardware related.
okay,
i'll send it to you in a private message tomorrow. (i'm not at work any more)
Thanks in advance for the trouble!
