Visibility of wall overridden by line

Can you override the visibility of a wall with a line?

I.e. For a site plan, I have walls etc modelled but due to the scale I'd like to display the different wall types etc as a linestyle.

Can this be done just on the centreline of the wall i.e. I don't want to override just the line style for either side of the wall.

I asked that to my self a while ago but never look for the answer. Instead I did this.

1- Create a line tipe "siteplan"

2- After model all walls, create model lines with this siteplan style and lock them to the walls son when walls move ( if the move) the lines will move with them. Hide these lines everywhere else using your template views. On the site plan view, hide everything you do not want vissible using template views but the "siteplan" lines.

I ussuly use "coordination views" for this kind of thing.

Let me know if you need a bit more help doing it like this.

Thanks @diegoaev I was hoping that there was a quicker way of doing it rather than using model/detail lines locked to the centeline of the walls

11.PNGwell, there is a way....

Model your walls. Select you walls and give them structural properties.

go the site plan, open visibility graphics, under the model catergory, hide all walls. go to the analitical model categories, find "analitical walls" and turn them on, change the line weight and color if you need to since they print green and there you go!

For these kind of tasks I usually use Dynamo. I just add (Detail) lines to the center of the wall.

It was just a concept.

Attached in the zip file the dynamo definition I used. Please note that for some nodes I used the additional clockwork package.
