Hi
I have created a detail family to allow me to set out and adjust a corner of tiered seating. I have placed the attached detail on Level 0 but it only shows up on the level it was placed, is there a way to get it to show on every level?
Regards
Martin
Copy it to clipboard and paste aligned to other levels... Or is that not an option for you?

Hi
No I only want instances on one level but need to see it from each floor.
We are migrating our temporary seating system from 3D AutoCAD to Revit, I have created all the families for the straight blocks but now need to integrate the corner units. Each row of seats and under structure is associated to a 'floor' so I can end up with 50+ floor levels. Ideally I was wanting to have the detail view of the corner setting out on level 0 then use this to position everything on the floors above.

Hi,
Yes, you can use "Generic Model.rft" family template, then use "Symbolic Line" to draw the lines you need, then load it into the project. The symbolic lines will only show up in plan view (parallel to the creation view of the lines) in project.
For example, you place this family on level 1, and then you can see the lines in level 1 plan view. If you want to see it on other level views, you can go to that view properties, and set the Underlay as level 1, then these lines will show up in this level plan view. You can set the Underlay to none when you don't need to see it for reference.
Or you can use Model Line in that family, then turn off its visibility when you don't need it as reference for the creation of other items.
Thanks.
