Hi all,
During our firm BIM workflow we usually stuck in Documentation process. It is very hard to submit sheets that must comply with country regolamentaion / law.
To reproduce a good visibility of elements visualization I usually filter/override them trhough these following steps:
1. Globally Manage Object Style (Categories and Sub-Categories)
2. VG Workset > 2.2 Model Ctaegories > 2.3 if necessary prepare a Filter
3. Modify Line work > 3.1 if necessary Detail Line, Detail Item.
4. Create View Template (From view)
What is your workflow? Have you even encountered the issue above?
What exactly is the "hard" part for you? What regulations/laws are you referring to/trying to follow?
Documentation and visibility are not always directly related so your statements are a bit confusing.
IMHO, take workset out of that list entirely. That's bringing in a user assigned property and possibility for erros way too early.
Yes, I'm curious to know more specifics as well. Are you are talking about digital submittals?
@barthbradley @RobDraw E.g. Rapresentation of stairs (I have encountered many issue to show stairs according to Czech law).
There are may others I do not want bother you to list.
My issue is to prepare a model in order to achieve right Documentation sheets (Trying not to use to many override/line work/2D line)
I want to know, by your experience, wich is the workflow you follow.
I know it is quite wide topic, but I am seeking of tips.
