Views

Might be a feature request.

Is there a way to lock a hotkey onto a view? I know I can for create a hotkey to create a new 3d view or a new plan view, but say I want to go to a specific plan view, is there a way of locking a key onto it so I can just click and go?

Most other 3d modelers have some form of this.  Would be a huge timesaver.

No there is not. I just use other methods to get to my views. Depending on the project I might use

-Use Find in the project browser.

-Make use of naming the views (e.g starting with underscore floats them to the top)

-Use browser organisation to group most relevant views together

You might check in the IDEAS section if there is a similar idea and vote for it, otherwise create one

View ReferenceView Reference

Hi..Instead.. You can PLACE View Reference on any view , linked to any view...

so For Example

Part A of plan can have a " View Reference Part B" clicking that view reference will

take you to Part B.. and

similarly " View Reference Part A" can be placed on Part B Plan view...

View Referencei is like a link to any view, Customise it for your easy use else use

Example : Reference Text Plan, elevation , Section written in tags... else use

the default reference tag of View number / Sheet number  Ex 1/A102 etc

Best luck..
