viewports behaving badly

Real simple...

I pulled two elevations into a new sheet.  The when I select the rear elevation, I do not get an option to crop.  When I select the side elevation, I get the option to crop..  You can see in my screencast, the side elevation fits on the sheet, while the rear elevation does not... why are the two views behaving differently?

figured it out... by toggling back and forth between the viewports, and watching for changes in the "properties", I discovered the box that says..."crop view" in the "extents" portion of the properties window.  I do not know why one of the viewports was created with the box pre-checked and the other one not checked.... By checking the box, I was then given the option to crop the viewport and the problem was solved....
