I do hope someone can help me with this, as it's driving me slightly round the bend.
Working in Revit Light 2024 (which may be the problem...)
I have received a full architectural model from a topographical survey company. Some of the detailing is making me suspect this was created in full Revit, though I can't confirm this. When I called to ask them about another issue, I wasn't directed to their technical team, so I'm not sure if I'll be able to get clarification from them.
The company has set up parameters for two different types of view - a working view (which shows sections lines) and an export (which doesn't).
The export views are the views that appear on the sheets.
Now that I am editing the model with our design proposals, I would like to edit the Export view so that the section lines are visible, but I cannot find details of these two view types. I can see the Viewsgroup parameter in the Project Parameter list, but this doesn't allow me to edit the specifics.
When I have opened the floor plans, I've checked the View template and Visibility/ Graphic overrides in both cases Sections are ticked and should therefore be visible. Yet whenever I draw a section I get a warning:
There are no plan regions (I've checked deleted them for clarity).
Please can someone tell me where I can look to see the section lines (I can't even see them in Hidden Elements!) and make them visible to the view.
Many thanks in advance.

That parameter is probably just being used for Project Browser sorting. Check for a Filter applied to the V/G or View Template(s). Also check that the parameter Hide at Scales Coarser Than is not set too fine.

Thank you @SteveKStafford. It was useful to note the 'Detail level'/ 'hide at scales coarser than' parameters.
However, this has not resolved the 'invisibility' of the section lines. I have checked the V/G and view templates innumerable times, and sections are fully visible on all of them. Changing the Detail level from Fine to Coarse fails to make them visible, and the scale is set to be hidden beyond 1:500, while our drawings are at 1:100.
I suspect this may be due to the model being built in Full fat Revit, rather than the Light version I am working, so I've got a colleague who has full fat who will review for me. If we get an answer, I will report back.
Try using Reveal Hidden Elements to see if they appear. If they do then note which button is offered when you select one of them, Unhide Element or Unhide Category. If someone used Hide Element then they've hidden them individually. If category then it's being controlled by Visibility/Graphics somehow, most like a filter.

Thanks @SteveKStafford I have tried this, it was one of my first choices.
I have since had some feedback from a colleague with Revit Full, who has confirmed that @Simon_Weel is correct, t5his appears to be a View Filter issue, that I cannot address in Revit Light.
Above is the Visibility Graphic option in Revit Full, compared to the options (below) that I have in Light - you will note there are significantly fewer tabs I can access.
I am approaching the original team to address this. Many thanks for your help.
They are hidden via view filters. You cannot access them because Revit LT cannot edit view filters created in full Revit. To show them, create new views from View menu.
