View Range gray-outs

Cut plane & bottom are grayed out and can't be modified.  If I modify 'offset' numbers, I get an error message: "view depth plane is set below the top clip plane."...whatever that means.

Hi,

Can you add a screenshot? It seems you try to change the view range of a reflected ceiling plan? Then the view range is oriented upwards and the bottom plane is not in use. The Cut Plane is locked to associated level. The View Depth must be atleast the same offset as the top (or higher).

This is the default RCP for my level 1.

I think you're problem is the two different levels that your Top and View Depth are connected to.

Hi,

You have to lower the Top or make View Depth higher by changing the level or offset to a minus.
Now your View Depth is lower than the Top and that is not possible.

Also it's better to make the Reflected Ceiling Plan from level 1 as the associated level. Now you are using the Foundation level?

Hi,

I don't think that makes the difference, it's because the View Depth for reflected ceiling plans must be at least the same height as the Top or higher. (print screen below works as long as the View Depth is higher than Top).

Hi,

I think @ralphdenhaan has right.

That is that I try to describe me too with my screen shot above. View depth is the plane where we can see. It's impossible to be lower than the top.
