View range comparison - Unlimited depth but different visibility

Here is a snip of a foundation plan - the green segment is a slightly deepened.

I have created a callout view. I can't get the deepened footing to display even though the view range is set to unlimited:

Create the callout as Floor Plan, not Detail.

Did you create that Linework in the View with the Linework Tool. Betcha did.

Deepened footing visible when intersected by cut plane:

Use a Plan Region then.  

 

Sounds like you are describing Low Wall behavior (e.g. <4'-0").  Read more here:

Is there a way to hide the boundary of the plan region?
