View Rang in a Family

Hi can anyone help me,

I have modeled a piping system as a Plumping fixing Family, however when  bring this into my model and set the views i am still able to see all the system above the level i want it on.

I have tried setting my views within the view rang and nothing seems to work.

the problem is only the view above , where i can see the pipe work above on all the above levels. I need to hide these

the levels below are correct.

I am using Revit LT so i don't have the normal option of the MEP piping system to just model with in the drawing

Maybe the Underlay property of the view is set to show the upper level?

Without actually seeing your settings it's hard to say exactly what's going on.  It could be a couple different things:

1. the Visibility Settings of the objects in the family are set up incorrectly. You may want to add some symbolic lines and disable cutting of the extrusions.

2. the plan's View Range Top/Bottom is set too High/Low

3. as @Alfredo_Medina mentioned, you could have an Underlay specified

Plumbing Fixtures, along with some other family categories, are non-cuttable. This means that they cannot be shown cut in any type of projection view. The full extent of them always shows.

You might need to build the system stack above as a separate family instead of as part of the same family.

Or you might try nesting the Plumbing Fixture - in a shared condition - into a generic model family and see if that makes any difference. Never tried it so I don't know.

I would change the category of the family to Generic Model.  They are not "fixture" by any means.  You can further assign the correct Omni class or Assembly code to the family if needs be.
