View extents tab is missing in the properties of the view

Hello all,

perhaps someone had the same issue: I have created a bunch of drafting views for details in the model, but when started to place them on the  sheets it turned out I cannot modify the view's window - the extents tab with options to make visible the crop view is simply not there, activated or not activated view (see the pic). The plan views, for example, have it, but not the drafting views.

Would deeply appreciate some advices.

Thank you!

There is no Crop in a Drafting View.

perhaps, i do not remember this.... ok, then how to overcome this, what would you suggest?  The view on the image has a big breakline space: I had to cover the rest of the drawings, since it is (the lover in this case) is a family, i do not want to have just lines in the views. WHile placing it on the sheet, the revit generates the window around all the elements in the view, so it becomes too big and covers others on the sheet. ANy way to reduce it?....

THank you!

On the Sheet? There's a trick to use to place a Masking Region on the Sheet.  Are you familiar with it?

not sure, no be honest. I am familiar with masking region in the view, but not on the sheet. Would you please share?...

Probably the easiest way would be to create a Mask in another Drafting View and place this Drafting View atop another Drafting View on the Sheet.

Sorry, I have tried, but certainly I am doing something wrong, did not get it...  I have one view with extended break line in order to cover up the part of the view - where do I create masking region?... in the neighboring view?... thank you!
