I installed revit 2017 on windows 10 64bit and I keep getting a video driver error must exit message before it crashes. I tried updating my graphics card and java as well as reinstalling revit and I keep getting the same error.
@Anonymous
That depends on which Graphic Card (Type/Brand/Mod/Speed) you have installed... Try the following
In Revit OPTIONS: Under Graphics Tab >>>>> Uncheck the "Use Hardware Accelleration"
YOUTUBE | BIM | COMPUTATIONAL DESIGN | PARAMETRIC DESIGN | GENERATIVE DESIGN | VISUAL PROGRAMMING

Maybe upgrading to 2017.2 will solve?
What card do you use?
Can you access Graphics under Options before crashing to see Video Card Driver Status?
i've got same trouble here . i try to disable hardware acceleration but have same result . any another solution ?
I had the same question. Also asked in the forum. No one responded and then I continued to search. I met your answer. Then I remembered that this also happened at Autocad 2019. He therefore does not recognize the video card and therefore gives an error message. Thank you so much, that I could still find it.
Greeting,
John
