Very slow speed Revit 2017

Dear Team,

I have facing Revit Slow Performance while dragging the 2D Level Head, Kindly read the below paragraph for the brief explanation.

In a 2D view, like a section or building elevation where multiple level heads (I've got 12 in views I am now editing) are visible, when trying to drag the 2D level head extent with which my level heads are locked, there is significant lag in trying to position the level heads where desired, sometimes over a minute.

Sometimes, when clicking and dragging the level head extent, I have to keep the mouse perfectly still, wait for the view to refresh, then click to set the position. Moving the mouse around seems to cause problem as Revit is trying to regenerate the extents live, though I don't understand why that would be a taxing operation. It even appears that trying to cancel the operation using ESC is ineffective and I have to be patient and click as described above.

I don't believe this to be an issue with a particular view (I'm experiencing this issue across multiple views as I go through my drawings), my workstation (my colleagues experience similar lag), or with a particular project file (I experience this across multiple project).

Thanks & Regards

Loganathan J

Can you post the specs of your computer? Do you install the update for that version of Revit?

confirm the version of Revit 2017

in the top right corner select the down arrow and select About Autodesk Revit 2017

also have you tried using 3d level heads?

you can type on the search bar of windows "dxdiag" without the quotation marks and send a screenshot.

Have you check whether the "draw visible elements only" option is checked?
