Vertical Siding in Wall Type

The wall types allow you to create horizontal sweeps and revels.  Does anyone know a way to create vertical sweeps in revels in the wall type?   We have vertical siding and would like for it to be a acutal wall type, and not something else.

You cannot have embedded vertical sweeps in the type properties of a wall.

Best option is to create a curtain wall that uses a custom panel made to show the individual siding piece and apply that to the curtain wall type. Set the vertical grid spacing to whatever you want your siding width to be.

Then set vertical and horizontal mullions to none.

This will only create your facade though so you would need to model everything behind it as a standard wall.

Your other option is to just use a material with a well defined bump pattern to create the reveal. This will only appear in realistic view and renderings.

Put another wall as batt and board, in front of the masonry or framing wall. That siding can be done with the curtain wal tool.

you can make a New Type of Curtain Wall or you can make it from Wall Sweep or Wall Reveal -Vertical and then Array..
