After a basic analysis of the design and layout of a family of windows with a wall as a host, I wonder:
Is the distance from the base of the host wall, at which level the window is positioned inside the family, important or affected in any way?
For example, does this position affect the calculation of the Sill Height? or it is irrelevant when using the symbol in any project.
Would there be a difference if the window is positioned 500 mm from the bottom edge of the wall or centered vertically and horizontally over the wall host in the family, when the symbol is inserted into a project wall?

The window family has a reference level and the window opening is positioned n relation to this. This can be parametised. When you insert the window in a project, the reference level is the level of the plan that you are working in, based on levels in the building.
According to the question:
So the position to which the window is placed on the host wall would not be relevant?
If you insert a window in a plan view, it will be placed at the reference height. In elevation it can be positioned anywhere, but it's height in the properties will be the height from the level that the wall is located. So you can have a window that is on the second level, whereas the windows level will read as level 1 if the wall extends over different levels.
