vertical bevel at a opening

2019 Revit:  How do I make a vertical bevel in a 18" tall interior curb?

I have a cmu wall with a hollow metal frame/door in it. Next to the cmu wall, I have a 6" wide x 18" tall curb.  Top of the curb is sloped, so I did a reveal in the curb wall.  I ran the curb right pass the door.  Then I did an opening in the curb at the door.  The only thing is that I need the wall to be at 45 degree bevel at the opening.  How do you do that? the second thing: is there a way if I move the door, the opening/beveled curb moves with it?

thanks

Hi

If you dont want to disturb the Door family, its size, door opening , etc then you can

use inplace void ( wall or any category ) and cut it from the wall..

and If you want to implement that cut in the family, then you need to look into

nested family..

Void Family - nested in Door

Best luck

If you only have one door, the void in place will do fine. Otherwise, replace the wall opening in your door family by a void extrusion.

I'm curious about the construction. It would make a difference on how I would approach this. You say: “Next to the cmu wall, I have a 6" wide x 18" tall curb”.  Don't you mean that the CMU wall in built on top of a stem wall?  This is what it sounds like you’re describing:

no, it isn't a stack or stem wall.  the wall behind could be any type and would go down to the floor.  The curb is in front of wall to protect it from a random pallet or forklift.  the curb actually has a vertical rebar going into the slab and a continuous horizontal bar at the low end of the bevel.

but your picture is correct at the 45 degrees at the door opening.  I had another person show me how to do it with using a floor.   The floor would be a height of 18".  then I went in and edit boundary and drew the 45 degree at the door.

also put a slope on the top. then I put a linear dimension and locked it at the point of angle/door opening.  when I move the door, the curb moves. However, now the bottom of the curb also slopes below the slab, so in section it doesn't look correct.

How did you do the bevel in the stem wall at the door?

For on top of the stem wall, did you use a reveal?

Huh??? Sounds like you’re describing a 6x18 inch tall “curb stop” tied into a concrete floor with some sort of a basket weave rebar.
