Members of this forum aren't going to solve this problem for you by sharing a template or even advice. You and your coworkers are going to have to decide what works best for you all and the clients you serve.

If you don't all have similar experience with Revit then that's one direction to pursue, get additional training and mentoring for those with less experience. Either hire a firm to help with that or dedicate the most knowledgeable staff to that task.

As for modelling techniques and habits. While there are a number of ways to produce a given aspect of a model, start with the ones that the software itself provides via the front door, the ribbon and its collection of commands. It shouldn't be a source of confusion as to which tool to use for, say placing columns. If it is then that is also a training/mentoring/standards discussion.

For ongoing advice, create posts here dedicated to a single complaint or concern and it will be more likely to get more responses.

my impression is that the information you need belongs mostly to the process ( BIM) then to instrument (Revit). That's a lot of information about BIM .

So, my recommend will be to have a look on some of  BIM Standards.

Now, it depends which Standard applies to you area or to your project....

Some examples of such documentations (only UK and USA)  :

  • documentation for the British Standard:
    • BS 1192:2007

  • PAS 1192 -2

  • AEC -BIM Standard for Revit

  • BEP - BIM Execution Plan

  • CIC protocols

  • for US will be among others: AIA Documents:
    • AIA® Document E203, G201, G202 – 2013
