variable wall thickness?

Is it possible to have an instance parameter for a wall type width?  For example, if I have an air layer within a chase wall can I make the air layer variable rather than having to make a new wall type for each width?  Thinking similar to what you can do with a Revit roof...

Not as an Instance Parameter.

...have you thought about just creating two walls with a separation between them?

....FWIW: we tried building void spaces into Wall Types before, such as soffits.  It ended up being a nightmare.

2nd using two walls for chases vs one...they cleanup better in plan too.

yeah, our office just has a "certain way of doing things" and that means making a plumbing wall into a single wall type.  i'll fudge it if i have to, just curious if there was a way to do it.  thanks!

Depends on how you present the walls on plan, if you use Coarse like any normal person does, then you don't have to create a new wall type for each thickness.   For example, with one wall type of 100 mm you can have several configurations:

- a single 100 mm wall

- a 200 mm wall from 2 adjacent 100 mm walls joined

- a 250 mm wall from 2 adjacent 100 mm walls and another 100 mm wall offset 50 mm joined

and so on.
