Variable Components

Hi there

Does anyone perhaps know how I can create components, eg. windows so that once they've been placed, in 3D view I am able to drag with the use of snapping points on the window to reach the desired window size/dimensions.

I know this is possible as I found Revit tutorials. However this specific problem is not discussed in the video. The file has just been provided.

Help will be super appreciated. Thanks

Make height and width INSTANCE parameters and then size them in the Project using their Shape Grips.

To be able to stretch a family using grips in 3D, you need to use Reference Lines with Instance Parameters to constrain the geometry in the family.  Using Reference Planes can only let you stretch the family using grips on 2D views.
