Attached I have images that I've worked on thanks to someone's response last week (so thank you). The general idea I'm trying to implement is as follows:
After tracing a line segment (even if along a curve), I want to place a certain quantity of fixtures based on length. For example (looking at image 3): If the traced segment (in red) is 8', I want to place 7-1' fixtures (in black) with a 0.5' offset on both sides at the ends of the fixture, as well as an offset to the left or right of the traced line segment
I think I have the offset on the ends down, however I'm not sure which type of parameters to include for actually adding in the fixtures along the path based on the length of a segment, as well as the offset from the left and right of the traced segment. Could someone assist?
Additionally, does anyone have recommendations of where to look at previously used parameters in adaptive families?

Are you sure you need an adaptive family? What are you trying to create exactly? edit: nvm you mentioned curved/trace, I was just looking at first image and thought differently.
@Anonymous
I think you should go back and read steps which @ToanDN gave you on the OTHER POST HERE
What you have in those images does not really reflect the solution given there!

In Image 1 -- I've created nodes, made sure to click "make them adaptive" and added in a spline line and paramatized it.
In this attached image It's also showing the that I can fluidly change the number of nodes along that spline
To give a clearly depiction of what I'm trying to achieve in Image 4 there are 2 cells
- One has a fixture in it
- The one above is where I'm trying to utilize an adapative lighting family to populate based on the length of the cell and some offset distance
It's a good starting point. I'm going to spend time researching and practicing when I have more time available. Thank you though!
