Hi all, I am new here, so please bear with me. I work in building services detailing HVAC for manufacture and installation.
As you can see from the title, I have created two different Section heads.
First one is used for main sections showing sections across duct runs.
Second one is used for what we call scrap sections (just showing a few items for manufacturing purposes only).
I have loaded the two families, and duplicated the types. The problem I have is when I edit the second family
(Scrap Section) to the correct head the first head also changes to the (Scrap Section) head.
Am I doing this correctly?
Is there a way to do this?
Thanks for looking
Video is unavailable, but it sounds like you didn't duplicate and modify the Section Tag. Drill down further.
Hi Barth Bradley, thank you for replying.
I think I must be missing something from your reply.
I cannot duplicate from "System Family: Section Tag".
I do however have three types of Section heads (in the Type dropdown list). all made via the duplicate button.
I also do not know why you cannot view the video.
I'm having a bad day......

You can also access/duplicate/modify named Section Tags under Additional Settings on the Manage Tab.
I'm just doing that procedure via "change the Section head" help on Autodesk Knowledge Network....
Without any success so far. I'll keep you posted.
I'm pretty sure what you are doing is just changing the Head of the Section Tag Type, instead of assigning a different Section Tag to each Section. In other words, both Sections are using the exact same Section Tag Type.
Thanks for replying, I have followed the instructions to the letter (See image).
I still cannot get it to work, I'm giving up for the night, thank you for all your effort in helping me.
