Using Toposolids

I fail to find a way to display the contour lines beneath the points display, when modifying a surface. If anyone knows how please let me know, otherwise can we please have this feature, because it would make grading so much easier.

This is what I see when I use Modify Sub Elements on a Toposolid. I added green sketch lines to emphasize the "contours" I see while editing. What do you see?
