Using same View on multiple Sheets, or Link certain Sheets onto another Sheet

Hi Folks,

Could you suggest what is the best & quickest way to achieve the following goal?

In Revit our typical projects require having 2 different size sheets for presenting certain details:

  1. Sheets with a 8.5"x11" size Title block (see attachment), that get published to a letter size book, and
  2. Sheets with a big size Title block, e.g. 42"x30" (see attachment), that includes copies of the 8.5x11 details arranged as shown on the attachment. These bigger Sheets are included in our Submittal packages, along with other big sheets.

I know that Revit does not allow for the SAME View/s to be added to multiple sheets, and you have to create a duplicate view. But if changes need to happen to the original view, I need to repeat same changes on the duplicate view as well (since creating duplicate view as dependent is not possible for these type of details).

Is there an efficient, quick way to achieve the goal described above, having Revit automatically update details on my Big Sheet, based on changes happening on 8.5x11 sheets?

I have tested options like exporting 8.5x11 sheets to Image or PDF, and then linking these onto the Big sheet, but it's hard to control their placement to nicely align to a grid. I have also tested the option of exporting to DWG file, but linking the DWG back to the Big sheet brings only the title blocks without the Viewports (since they are in Model Space).

Any help is much appreciated!

A little update:

I found that it is possible to fine tune the location of PDF links, by turning on "Enable Snaps".
