Using Revit (or Inventor) with Oculus Quest 2

Hello all,

I've recently got an Oculus quest 2 and am wondering if it's possible to view Revit models, turn layers on and off etc. in VR in on a Quest 2?

Thanks

Hagop

Layers? I'd be wondering about categories if it were me.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

Hi ! I would suggest giving SENTIO VR a try. With a plug-in that can be installed in Revit, you can upload your models to the cloud & view it using a 6 digit code on the Oculus Quest 2 App. Turning layers on or off is not a feature available as of today - but it should be available in the near future. Hope this helps !

I use Enscape and it has built in VR mode.

Thanks but it looks like from the website Enscape is not compatible with the Quest 2? It is tethered only?

I have been a Revit user for more years than I care to admit but I find this question to be somewhat baffling.

How does one go about accessing "layers" in Revit? I've never heard of this before.

For DWG imports, layers are retained, and you can turn them on/off all day long.  You will find this in V/G settings under Imported Objects.

I don't think he meant layers as much as objects and families.

The following article has info on this topic: What are the options for using VR (Virtual Reality) with Revit?

In looking online, I found that several of the options from the article include support for the Quest:

A recent change in this area is the inclusion of Twinmotion with the Revit subscription (2023.1).
