Hi, I downloaded the educational version of REVIT 2019 to learn so my company can switch from our current software to REVIT. During that time, I created all of the families and template my company will need in anticipation of making the switch so that once we do, we will have everything we need already created to be productive with the professional version of REVIT from day one. My question is, will I have any issues using the families and template I created in the educational version of REVIT 2019 in the professional version of REVIT 2020? None of these families nor the template have been used for professional plans, they have only been created so we will have them ready to use as soon as we purchase the professional license. I want to be sure I will not have to recreate these families and template in the professional version as this would possibly prevent us from purchasing the professional license and staying with our current software as time will be an issue for us.
Just to verify @Anonymous's response. You cannot use the content that you created with the educational version..
Those families and templates are not going to have any ill effects on your professional projects, but TECHINCALLY they are not usable per the licensing agreement for the educational license.
You are not supposed to be using the educational version of the software for anything other than learn to use the software. Making families and templates that you are EVENTUALLY going to use professionally is off limits if following the letter of the law, even if while making those items you were "learning".

Doesn't your company have a legal advisor? pass him/her the license agreement and let him do his job ![]()
