Dear Members,
We need to show openings in walls to allow MEP components going through, For this we need a advice/Tip/Tool to place the openings little faster than what a person can do,
It would be great if we have a tool that allow us to place the openings with exact size and location.
Also we heard that we can do something with Dynamo, but we admit that we don't have knowledge in that.
Thanks in advance.
Yes, Dynamo would certainly be able to do this. However it will need that you invest time to learn it.
In the mean time have a look at THIS Revit MEP Clash-Point Hole-Cutting Tool (free).
I have not used it, but it looks a like a possible (temporarily?) solution for you.
(Next time consider posting this in the MEP forum, a more suitable place for MEP questions)

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.
how about creating a wall based family with void forms. You can set parameters as you like.
I like @Anonymous proposal. Seems the most straightforward and elegent.
You can create a number of Types in the Family for your most commonly used Opening dims.
Don't overcomplicate anything.

Thanks @L.Maas, we are using that tool, it's working fine but are struggling to get some result on this.
Thanks @Anonymous, @bimscape, We are using our custom void family. but what we looking for is to place this void families to the locations in automation mode.
Thanks @Anonymous, We have bunch of walls to place openings. so only we are looking for some short way to place this quickly.
Thanks all again.
- Create a 3D view that only shows duct categories (duct, fitting, insulation, etc...)
- Export to a SAT file
- Create an in place generic model and import SAT in
- Use Join geometry, tick join multiple box, and join the in place with walls or any elements need penetration
- Turn off in place family and you are left with penetration
(optional: temporary set duct insulation to a thicker type before export to SAT so that the penetration will be larger that the actual duct based on some tolerance criteria)
It is neither a dynamic nor parametric solution. When ducts change you need edit the in place and re-import the updated SAT. But after that the penetration will be automatically updated unless you add new walls.)

More about this "Chase" please?@bradley
Basically pushing the Reveal inside the wall, cutting the wall cavity instead of cutting the finish layers. Right? @barthbradley
