URGENT : Error Message When Creating a Toposolid in REVIT

Hello everyone,

I’m trying to create a Toposolid using the “Create from Import” function by uploading a CSV file. However, whenever I upload my CSV file, I receive the message: “Failed to get valid boundary from the input points” (please see the image I uploaded below). My CSV file appears to be correct and looks normal to me.

Can anyone please help me identify the issue and suggest how I can correct it?

I have attached my CSV file for reference

Honestly, I think you might have made a mistake in the unit conversion. Otherwise, points would be so jammed with each other. In the image below, I enlarged your x and y coordinates by 1,000,000.

Hello, I'm not really a specialist when it comes to these: do you mind telling me how can I do these in order to obtain your outcome you had on the picture

You probably have to load your .csv file in something like Excel; then multiply the values in column A and B with 1.000.000 and then save back to .csv. Now try importing it again in Revit.

I'm using Revit 2025, so the user interface might be slightly different from 2024, but basically, it goes like this:

1. Enlarge your x (column A) and y (column B) coordinates by 1,000,000 times. This can be done in Excel or in the software you exported the data from. In fact, I feel it might be an export setting error after all. Since I don't have your software, I chose to enlarge it in Excel and saved as .csv file.

2. Go to "Mass & Site" tab in Revit, then click on "Create From Import".

3. Then click on "Create From CSV". After selecting your .csv file, the toposolid will show up.
