Upper run shows in stair plan

Hi all. I've searched the board but can't find anything related to this issue. I have a stair which has three runs, so the upper run is located over the lower. But no matter how I set the view range (see image 2), the upper run appears on the plan on top of the lower. And tab-selecting preferentially picks the upper run. You can see in the image that the riser lines overlap the railings, which shouldn't be the case. This is the only stair plan in the project that has this issue and I can't figure out what is different about it. I even deleted and recreated the stair, no change, and deleted and recreated the view (based on the level the stair lands at, not the main plan level) and no change either. I am about to give up and just let it be but I would really like to figure this out. Any ideas would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks.

You can turn off all Above Subcategories via VGO.

They are (mostly) already off. We do like to see the above outlines and riser lines. It doesn't matter, the stair above is still showing, and it is showing solid, not dashed as the template/VG would indicate, even if the "above" lines were on. And there are no overrides. Any other ideas?

Sorry I don't follow.  Is this screenshot from that view?

By the way, if changing View Range doesn't affect how the stair display then you may have a Plan region at the stair.

On second thought, you are correct Toan. Since the risers above align exactly with the risers below, it's the "above" hidden lines that appear to overlap the lower stair and its handrails. I can't figure out why this isn't happening on all our other stair plans but at least I know what's going on. Thanks, that was simpler than I thought.

I'm not sure what look you're trying to achieve exactly, but you might consider using Plan Region around Stairs. It'll give you a little more flexibility.

Also, keep in mind that stairs are one of a hand full of elements in Revit that will display if they are within 4 feet of the View Range.

I'm good, thanks. It was literally the fact that the upper risers coincided exactly with the lower ones. I used linework to hide the uppers and now it displays correctly.
