Upgrading from 2014 to 2016 on Windows 10

We are looking to upgrade our current licence from 2014 to 2016 and are wondering if anyone has experienced any problems with compatibility while saving backward files?

Revit has never been backward compatible

don't know where you read that it was

you cannot save down to previous version in Revit

once the file is saved in 2016 you won't able to open in any previous versions of Revit
