Upgraded to Windows 10 - Can't access LT 2013 projects using trial version of Revit 2021

I got a new laptop with Windows 10, and successfully installed Revit LT 2013. It works fine. But I can't open recent projects generated with the same version using Windows 8.1.

The Error message says "[project name].rvt cannot be opened in Revit LT because it was last saved in a version of Revit prior to 8.1"

I searched the Forums and the advice says to install the trial full version of Revit and to try opening either the main .rvt file or the backup file. I installed the trial version of Revit 2021, and neither will open. I'm not seeing any service packs for 2021.

2013 is not compatible with Windows 10 & never will be

can you post a file?

Two interesting factoids:

1. The Preview window on the right-hand side of the Open Project browser indicates "Version Unknown"

2. I am able to successfully open two files only, both of which were created in the last three days, using the old laptop with windows 8.1. I am unable to open files created last week or before from that same laptop.

I'm using it right now. It works fine. I just can't access older files.

It can be done.

Can you upgrade the project sequentially?  Do you know anybody running older versions of Revit?

Hi Everyone: Thank you for your consideration. I fixed it--it was a syncing issue with my Dropbox. ***Whew***
