I'm a half designer/half technical specialist @ my design firm and am tackling an issue we are having regarding template updates and am looking for suggestions that are working for others.
We roll out template updates frequently with the help of our design tech committee, but projects that have been started that are months & sometimes years old don't have the latest and greatest upgrades (things like legends, schedules, etc that can't be solved with TPS). How are you handling this issue? I also code and know python & dynamo so I'm even open to "here's what you'd need to do" suggestions that perhaps don't have a solution yet but that I could create one for. I just can't seem to wrap my head around the workflow it would take to accomplish this.
- Get pyRevit for transferring Legends among projects (based on the tool descriptions, I have not actually use it).
- Schedules can be copy to clipboard from one browser and paste to the others using CTRL+V blindly.
I've thought about that based on my research--next question, how do we package this as a tool that users can readily and easily transfer from (and not screw up!), as I will have to write the wiki process for it. I wish so badly that these things were available as a TPS option!
