Unwanted line weight on walls with sweeps.

Hello,

I've run into an issue with unwanted line weights on a particular wall which uses a sweep to create a plinth. Picture 1 is an example of the issue which occurs exclusively in the corners where two walls meet. Picture 2 displays the sweep which runs on top of the wall which is used to create the plinth.

Does anyone what is causing this to occur or how it can be avoided?

Thanks,

Jack

Manage Tab>Object Styles>Model Categories>Walls>Wall Sweeps-Cornice

Here you can adjust line weight for projection, cut, color, pattern, etc.

Hi cbcarch!

Thanks for the quick response!

I tried your solution and unfortunately it didn't affect the line weight, however, after some troubleshooting a bit more I have discovered what is causing it.

As shown in "Picture 3" the unwanted line weight seems to be controlled by the weight of the "Silhouette" line. However, i cannot simply remove this as it is is being used aesthetically on the elevations view on the project.

Is there away i can disclude the sweep from the line weight of the silhouette? Or maybe an alternative way to recreate the silhouette aesthetic to avoid this issues?

Thanks,

Jack

Take a look here: ( from Revit LT Help):

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/revit-lt/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2018/ENU/Revi...

You could try to manually override the sweep projection lines with the Linework Tool.

A bit tedious, but I'm not sure there's a global solution.

You can use a combination of Object Styles, Silhouette feature, Linework Tool.

I think the problem / solution lies with the wall joins. From the pictures I suspect the wall joins are butted, try using the mitered wall joins.

Sorry Cliff, I'm confused by your suggestion. I'm not seeing that option (to arrive at sweeps) based on the path you suggested which begins with "Manage" ... there are only two options within "Walls" ... Common Edges and Hidden Lines?
