UnInstall problem Revit Kepler

I am trying to uninstall Revit Kepler from the Control Panel in order to install the Revit 2017 release version and get the following message:-

The current directory path is too long:

"C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Revit Kepler\Setup"

Please limit the path to 41 characters (currently 44)

Windows 7 Professional 64 bit

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Many thanks

Peter

This is a known issue in which Revit Kepler cannot be uninstalled via the Windows Control Panel.  The solution is to use the Autodesk Uninstall Tool to remove Revit Kepler from your system.

One of many Autodesk apps downside!!! CLEAN UNINSTALL!!

  • Did you try the uninst.exe of the app found under the same folder? "C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Revit Kepler"  ... if it gives you the same error ...shorten the path C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Revit Kp then re-run it

  • otherwise Microsoft FixIT  or IOBIT might help you remove it ... you can find a link in my signature below

Many thanks, currently trying the Autodesk Uninstall Tool which looks to be doing the trick (it's taking a while...). If I have any problems, I will try as you suggest.
