Uniformat file is missing in Revit 2023

Hello everyone,

I have done my research but I just gave up so I am here.

1. I cannot find the file 'UniformatClassification.txt' on my Revit version (I have the version number 23). Does this need to be purchased on the CSI Uniformat website?

2. Then when I click to browse the file something weird happens to my view. I am able to see the path and somehow the work breakdown structure is shown on the 'Assembly Code' dialog box. Unfortunately I need other codes so I suspect those are missing in the file Revit is looking at. I need the codes:

D5040.10 - Lighting Control

D5040.20 - Branch Wiring for Lighting

D5040.50 - Lighting Fixtures

D5040.90 - Lighting Supplementary Components

And maybe some more

Any help would be appreciate it

Regards,

J

Probably not installed by default. If you happen to have another version of Revit, then look in this path of the other version:

Wit a bit of luck, it should be there. Or use the attached file.

Hi @Simon_Weel

Thanks for the quick response

Unfortunately I do not have another Revit version installed.

Thanks for sharing the file but I think it should be easily accessible on the CSI Uniformat website. For some reason it is not.

All the best,

J

Hi again @Simon_Weel

I came across an issue while testing

I need the codes below, but I realized on your file do not exit. On the file you shared the coding jumps from D5030 to D5090. Why is this? Is it because I should look into another Uniformat file?

Good question - I don't know? I checked some other UniformatClassifications.txt files and they are all the same. Maybe there's a more complete version out there?

NB: we don't use this type of classifications in the Netherlands - we use NL/SfB codes.
