Hello every one,
I am trying get Uni-format Assembly Code and Omni-Class Code for my window model.
I followed all the steps that mentioned here:
But when I click
Edit Type. I found no assembly code as in Fig.1 and when I click
it appears as in Fig.2. So pleas I need help as soon as possible.
should I download the UniformatClassifications text documents and the RevitKeyNotes , and paste this files in this location ?
Hi @Anonymous,
Do not panick,
Toan and everyone is right.
You just need to inform Revit as to where the external file containing your assembly codes exists.
First, check the default location for the file (C:/ Program Data / Autoresk / Rvt 20XX / Libraries / desired library)
If not there, you will have to download it. File is called UniformatClassifications.txt - you can find it on the web or copy paste it from another workstation.
Then use the manage > Additional settings > Assembly codes window (sorry for my french.... lol)
Go and get your file, validate.
Validate and there you go!
Now you can assign an assembly code to your object!
Cheers,
François
(PS: all I did was reorganise the whole conversation, so thx everyone)
