Uneven Roof Line On Single Roof

Description: The main roof in the image below is one roof. Therefore the base of the roof should be even. It is not even. This can be seen on the gable roof over the garage.  The right side is lower than the left side. You can see that the small overhang roof right above the garage is even on the left side and matches the slope of the gable, but on the right side it is not even and does not match the slope of the gable. (they are both the same slope and should match up cleanly)

Cause. The slope on the right side of the house over the porch is a 5.5/12 slope, whereas the left/main roof is a 10/12 slope. This different slope is making the footprint of the roof uneven.Uneven roof line on single roofUneven roof line on single roof

Here is another view which removes the small overhang roof and shows a detail line and dimensions that show different measurements of the left/right bases of the gabled roof.

Do you have an Offset from Roof Base on that side?

Hey! I remember you from yesterday. The Fun Thread guy!  Post the file. Let's see what you did?

@barthbradley  I'm not seeing any offsets. Please see the attached file.

while in Edit Footprint Mode , select this two eaves that has different levels and apply an Offset from Roof Base equal with the difference from the two levels..

@barthbradley Not sure what you mean with the images. The left side is okay. As where the three roofs meet, that is a little off, but its close to a 5.5/12 slope. But how are those affecting the base roof line? As mentioned the right side of the roof is lower than the left side.

@constantin.stroescu This method seems to raise the right (lowered side of the roof). You can see from my sketch that the gabled is not centered - the dimensions should be equal, right? I see that in your sketch they are equal at 6000.

It took a bit of finding out the exact dimension to offset, but I did find it and that compensated and achieved the affect I was going for:

Still not quite understanding why I needed to apply an offset for the roof to be the default height. Shouldn't it be there by default? Something to do with having multiple slopes on one roof. Anyways, objective succeeded. Thanks.

heel heights are not uncommon to solve for this.
