There seems to be a recurring issue where underlays don't show up properly in basement plans. I'm wondering what the cause and solution is?
I wonder if it has to do with the basement using a pad instead of a floor. The propose working solution right now are to use "Wireframe" views or hide the floors in the view to see the underlay. These are bad solutions, but mostly they don't explain the actual problem. Does anyone understand this problem's cause?
The problem only happens in the basement.

Hi @SamuelAB
it occurs on our side too (not so often though)...99% of the time adding and intermediate level sorts this issue out.
we usually place that level at the unfinished bottom surface of the slab (on a workset of its own which is set not to show on all views)...selecting that level sorts it out
the cause:
it appearing when in wireframe, implies that it is concealed by the floor or something on top of the floor like a level datum which is not a building level or the level hosting the finishing slab .in the event one is using a structural slab and a separate finishing slab. I have to admit I've tried to isolate it (the cause) several times but it just occurs suddenly and it's noticed too late so I never managed to narrow it down to neither an element or the level datum

Thanks @RDAOU,
I proposed this solution as well, but I was unable to come up with an answer as to why it was happening. Specifically, only happening in the Basements (it works fine on all other floors). It's driving slightly crazy that I have 3 solutions, but no reason as to why the problem is happening. I'd like to really get to the root of the problem.
If you have any inkling as to why this is happening, please let me know ![]()
Thanks,

you said you have two other solutions... maybe you can also share them here in the forum and mark them so other users may benefit from your experience
