Unable to import contour lines from DWG file

Hello,

I am trying to use a topo survey that has been provided to me, and both AutoCAD web and Revit will not display the contour lines. They are instead appearing as boxes. In doing some research it appears as if this file may have been created in a program that uses contour objects as opposed to 3D polylines for the contour lines. Is there any way to solve this issue and display proper contour lines in Revit (or AutoCAD Web)? I have attached the file incase that may help someone to help me out.

Thanks very much!

You'll need to ask the source of the DWG to create/save a version that you can use. The AEC elements either need to be exported to a neutral DWG format, not using the AEC element, or replaced with non AEC elements. If the source used Civil 3D then they have a export to DWG option that should produce a file you can work with. Also if they didn't save their file with Proxygraphics "on" then the proxy symbol information needed by Revit/AutoCAD to display them properly wasn't saved with the file before sending it to you.

@barthbradley - What did you do to the file? Open it in Civil 3D and export to DWG?

.... actually, a little more to it than that, but yes, I converted it in Civil 3D.
