Hi all! I have an issue I've never seen before, hopefully someone can help. In one of our residential projects, we had originally intended to use a CLT wall, extending from the finish floor to the rafters. In a VE move, we now wish to terminate this wall at the top plate (8'6" high), and have a typical stud wall/gyp board assembly above it. When I am attempting to edit the CLT wall profile, it does not adjust even with the profile set at the correct height. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Felix

Hey,
My guess would be that the wall is still attached to the roof, maybe try detach it manually and see if it jumps back to your profile. If not, maybe just try reset the profile or check the wall parameters to make sure the top and base constraints are set to the according levels. Last resort would just be to delete and make the wall again, but that will blow up dimensions and tags so not ideal haha.
Hope this helps!
Why don't you attach the wall to the upper roof instead of edit profile?
Because it only goes to the top plate, then we have a typical stud wall above that. I wish it was as simple as resetting the profile or unattaching the wall, I've tried that. It is even set to the correct height in the Properties. Nothing seems to work but I will keep trying, thanks for all your help!
Hmm, maybe try reveal constraints in section or elevation to see if the walls top constraint has been locked, maybe also try while in the edit profile view? Or even delete the top line from the profile view and draw another further down to try force the reset in shape.
Also perhaps try copy the problem wall close by to see if it also retains its shape or if it reverts to your properties settings?

Just so I am clear, you are unable to edit profile the wall below the plate or the wall above the plate?
Believe it or not, redrawing the top profile line worked! Revit is super high powered but sometimes you still need to rev the engine a little. Thanks all!
