Hello all,
We've recently updated revit to the 2024 version and we're trying to cut family instances (generic model, windows...) with voids modelled in place in a project.
Unfortunately we don't figure out how to make it : it seems impossible to cut our family instances with in place voids even if the option "cut with void when loaded" is checked in the families.
Any input would be appreciated.
Thank you

Is there any chance that the possibility to cut a family instance with a in space void could come back ? The fact that the volume category can be full of solid volume that should'nt be seen / exported is not so practical
I don't understand the question. If you cut a family with a solid mass and create a material take-off schedule then it should report the correct volume.
Yes in deed for the take off schedule we can work around. It can be harder to export in dwg / ifc (requises the use of filters for instance when before nothing was needed).
Other method that can cut is using void face base family. When loading it in, it will cut though family if you placed the void on the surface of the family.
