Hi
we have structural and architectural elements in separate models. walls in architectural models are not cropping with columns in structural models as shown in image.
i want to know if there is a way that i can crop the wall with linked structural column.
Regards,
Vamsi padala.
HI
Yeah i am unable to join the wall with column from linked file.
if i place the column in same file and join the wall and column then it looks something like this
can i do this even with linked elements ?
thank you for your reply. at least now i can look for alternative wall creating methods at these locations. as our projects are getting complex which results in increasing file sizes autodesk revit should allow the interaction between elements from link models. hopefully autodesk will consider this in future releases
What you could do is copy-monitor the structural column in the architectural model. There are more topics to be found on the issue you are having actually, perhaps I can look for some later for you or you can do a search yourself ofcourse.
for instance; https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/revit-architecture-forum/linked-models-graphics-of-linked-structural...
So you could also try the option to set the linked files view range slightly higher then the view range for the view itself (by linked model view setting).
