Hello,
Is there a list of what and how parameters can be combined? Or at least a list what units every parameter has. Until i only had to use geometry parameters or some parameters that dont have units. but i am starting to build in automatic ventilation and drainage calculations into the models. (a lot of time saving).
In this particular case i need to combine airflow with a length. The manufacturer only gives liters per second per meter of opening. so i have a line based family with that number built in but i am unable to get a parameter that calculates Airflow * Lenght. (the error i get is inconsistent units)
Am i missing something? do i have a wrong parameter? i am at a loss

That makes no sense! You can have a calculation "per second" OR "per meter", not "per second" AND "per meter". What is the reference for determining the air flow? Time or Space? That must be some hell of an manufacturer cause they have a hell of an scientist.
About how to keep units consistent in Revit, read this article.

i know its a bit weird but the product is scaleable. It can be cut to lenght. they know the capacity of the ventilation per meter. hense the in this case l/s/m. Instead of having to calculate every particulair vent they idea is to build in the formula. currently i have a project with about 300 of these things in 39 different lenghts... ill take a look at that article maybe it helps.
Looks like you need a neutralizer.
