Hello All,
We are having an issue with one of our projects. It is small file size compared to some of our other projects that work fine so I doubt it is a memory or video card issue.
Two computers (one laptop and one desktop) are getting a "Failed to Open Document" error in Revit 2018. They open other projects without issue. Other people with other computers are not getting the same issue with the problem project.
It doesn't seem to be a network issue as they have all the right permissions.
I have purged the project of everything I can purge.
I have opened a bunch of the families and checked them for issues, fixed what I've found but it didn't help the issue.
I've created a new central file with worksets intact and another removing all the worksets.
I've upgraded a copy to to Revit 2020 in hopes that would help...nope.
I'm at a loss as to what to do next short of starting a new project and copying and pasting everything in and then having to recreate all the sheets, views, ect. We don't have time for that.
Hopefully someone else has had this issue and can help.
I've looked through the other posts here and on other sites and can't find anything exactly the same and have tried what some of the other people have worked out similar issues.
Need some help.
Mike

OK. So hours or work and trying a bunch of stuff. Then I post this here and 20 minutes later figure it out.
It ended up being one of the 3 cad files that was linked into the project. Not sure why or which one but it is now working for everyone. One was pretty large.
So relieved.
If someone else has this problem I hope you see this post. Enjoy.
Mike
