Twinmotion for Revit

Hi, I'm hoping someone can shed some light on an issue I'm having with the Direct link tool for Twinmotion for Revit.

I have just updated my Revit to Revit 24.2 and Twinmotion to 2023.2.2 (the latest versions) and for some reason, my direct link is broken.

If I select open in Twinmotion from the Revit view tab, Twinmotion will open, but then not show the imported model.

Even after this, in Twinmotion if I go to Import --> Direct Link, it says “No Source Available”. Even after I had selected direct link in Revit.

How can I fix this?

Hi all,

Revit and Twinmotion do have intended\supported versions, as follows:

  • Revit 2023.1 | Datasmith 5.0.3 | Twinmotion 2022.2.3
  • Revit 2024 | Datasmith built-in | Twinmotion 2023.1 or Twinmotion 2023.2

Revit 2024.2 is compatible with Twinmotion 2023.2

Now, there are some known limitations with direct link that we could be running up against here; please confirm the items from this page:

Known Issues for Twinmotion and Revit 2024 Interoperability

Hi Ryan, thanks for that.

Somehow the issue resolved itself and I am now able to direct link with no issue... Must've been an issue with the file or something?
