Twin Motion - Surfaces Not Solids

Hi All,

I have a slab / floor which has been profiled and chamfered to the underside. I'm trying to create an animated section in Twinmotion to highlight said chamfered profile. The elements come through as hollow rather than a 'solid'. I seem to recall having the same issue in navisworks.

Is there any work around for this? I've tried experimenting with different file formats, however haven't really gotten anywhere.

Cheers

Rob

Hello there.

As far as I understand, Twinmotion uses surfaces instead of solids. That means you need to insert the object in its "final form".

I would recommend sectioning it in Revit, exporting a FBX and uploading to twinmotion. You can use it as a separate group and use/hide when necessary.

Hope it helps. Cheers.

Cheers mate, that confirms my fears. The issue being i'm trying to create an animation that pulls back through the building in section showing the variance in floor thickness and beam strips.

Never mind. Thanks for the reply.
