Turning off shadow dropping for certain elements in shaded view ??

Hi There,

I was just wondering if there is any possibility to turn off shadow dropping only from selected elements.

I mean I would like to have a shaded view but for some situations, it would be good if some elements would not drop shadow for clarity.

You cannot.

However, if you really need to show this, you could...

Try this:

Create (2) views--(1) with shadows on and (1) with shadows off.

Place the (2) views directly on top of each other on a sheet.

Override the transparency for that object to 100% in the view = no shadow for that object.  See how the trellis beams create a "zebra" type shadow in the elevation, but this effect disappears when the trellis beams are set to transparent.
